Leaders Lead … They Don’t Chase!

When you started your home based MLM business I can almost guarantee that your sponsor told you to write a list of everyone you know, from your family and friends to your postman and your milkman!  This list of people would have been referred to as your list of prospects (or potential customers and business partners).  I have a couple of questions for you.  How many of the top 10% of Network Marketers do you actually think build their businesses in this way?  How effective has this method been for you?

I can assure you that there won’t be many leaders building their home based MLM business in this way and I am fairly sure you will become frustrated and annoyed if you keep chasing your so called ‘prospects’! 

Leaders don’t do this because they understand a simple concept.  They know that a person is only a prospect if they are interested in what you have to offer!  If you have a list of 200 friends, family and acquaintances then how many of those are truly prospects?  How many of them want a home based MLM business? Perhaps 5 or 10 at most!

Leaders don’t chase.  Leaders understand marketing, which involves getting offers about your products or services in front of people who actually want to learn about your offerings.  That is the first home based MLM business secret.  Leaders lead, they don’t chase!

Home Based MLM Business Secret #2:  Top Producers Build Online!

What better place to find people who are genuinely interested in your product, service or business than on the Internet?  Every day people are searching for things that they have a genuine interest in.  On top of that, people use the Internet to connect with other people online.  They share thoughts and ideas.  They discuss their hobbies and interest and most importantly they make suggestions and recommendations based on the things that they enjoy.  That is why there really is the potential to build a global home based MLM business exclusively on the Internet.  You just have to be willing to learn the marketing strategies used by the REAL top producers! Does all of your income for your business come from your primary company?  Do you rely solely on the commissions that come from your Network Marketing organisation, or do you have multiple streams of income into your business account?  Do you have a means of generating income from your prospects and not just from the people who join you in your primary business?

Let me assure you that Heavy Hitters monetise their prospects!  They have powerful sales funnels to sort their red hot prospects from the suspects!  Some of their prospects will eventually join them in their primary business and others won’t.  That doesn’t matter because many of the prospects who don’t join them will still purchase training courses, marketing tools and valuable resources from them.  Either way, the Heavy Hitter gets a pay cheque!
