You will have to work very hard at the beginning to get your business moving. A successful sponsor, who has been in the business for many years, may have forgotten all the hours of labour they had to put in when they were starting, or they may be intentionally deceiving you, but trust me you are going to have to be prepared to graft!

You should also bear in mind that there are less than thirty MLM companies that have been in business for more than ten years. It’s not because there is anything wrong with the business model, it’s just that all those companies that failed did not get things set up right.

Next take a look at the product. Is it well advertised? Is it something that people would desire but would not be able to buy in the stores? is it high quality and is it enduring? Will people still desire the product in five years time?

If you’ve got a company in mind, get onto forums and find other people to chat to who work for that company. Read reviews and learn all that you can.

You’ll have to keep an eye out for people who have failed though! The drop-out rate is particularly high in most MLM businesses, mainly because people think they’re going to earn income from day one, or they are not willing to put in sufficient effort. Remember that the only way that you can fail is by quitting!

As with any business, building a lucrative MLM home based business will take time, plenty of effort and enormous commitment. Do not rush in to any MLM opportunity without doing considerable research first.

What sort of budget have you got to invest into your business? What type of training, tools and advice will you make available to your new team members?

All of these questions must be addressed during your due diligence phase and your potential sponsor should be willing to help with this. Make sure the groundwork has been done long before you sign on the dotted line.

This initial inquiry and fact finding will make the biggest difference between owning a successful MLM home based business, or one of many that fails within just a few months.

Let’s think about that for a moment. You may have just paid a really high price to get your hands on those generic, un-qualified leads, because the likelihood is that you have just become one of the leads that the company will be offering to countless other people! MLM Questions: What if I don’t have time to build a successful business?

When Network Marketers join my mailing lists I always ask them what their number 1 question or concern is about MLM (A.K.A Network Marketing) so that I can address the issues that are most important to my followers. The likelihood is that their questions about the MLM industry are the same as yours, especially if you are not already seeing the results that you are striving for in your business. I have decided to share some of the most common MLM questions that I get asked with you, along with my responses and recommendations, in the hope that this will help you to move your own business forward. Today’s question is ‘What if I don’t have time to build a successful business?’

Time is an issue for many people. Time is our most valuable asset and nobody wants to spend their time on activities that have little value or benefit. I understand why some people get frustrated by the Network Marketing industry because it is not uncommon for Newbies to spend weeks, months or even years trying to build a business with little or no results. You can understand why that might leave a bad taste in someone’s mouth, right?!

It is important to clarify the difference between wasting time and investing time. Wasted time is spent on activities which are unproductive or pointless, or even hamper progress. In actual fact, there are very few activities which have no befit, as everyone needs to rest and recuperate in order to perform at their best. Some people do this by socialising and others by relaxing, but this is still an important part of achieving your potential (as long as you are productive when you do get to work!)

Investing time is what we all need to be doing. You can invest your time to improve your knowledge and understanding and hence, your value to others. You might also invest time to network on and offline with potential business partners and this is an essential component for success in this industry. These activities are most definitely not a waste of time. The goal for most Network Markers is to invest time now to free up a lot more free time in the future, which can then be spent with friends and family and doing the things that we all enjoy in life. That’s the goal … that’s the ultimate dream!

So, you’re probably wondering how you can use your time more efficiently to achieve results faster aren’t you? Well, my aim has always been to provide people with tools and resources to do just that! I have written ebooks to help to educate people about the industry and how to succeed in Network Marketing. After all, this is a business of sharing information! I have produced step by step training tutorials for everything from goal setting to blogging and using capture pages and auto-responders, and everything in between. My advice to you is to spend your time learning about the industry and marketing on and offline. This will increase your net worth and value to others, and will actually attract go-getters to you. Once you know what works, assume the responsibility of helping and training others. Regardless of how much time you invest on these types of activities, you will reap the reward of more free time further down the road. Remember you have to sow before you can reap!
