New directories mean that you can get more backlinks from a broader range of sites for every article that you produce, which is ideal.

I have successfully set up accounts and have had articles accepted by as many as 1000 to 2500 directories, depending on article topics. This is still exceptional leverage for a single Article! The Article Marketing Robot directories also range from page rank 0 to PR6 too, which means that a reasonable amount of value will be attached to each link!

To Spin or Not to Spin (that is the question!)

article spinning 2In this article I am going to discuss the advantages and disadvantages to Article Spinning before submitting them to article directories. This is often a controversial issue, but I am going to try to clarify some of the pros and cons for your here today, so that you can make an informed decision about spinning you articles.

What is Article Spinning?

Article Spinning is when you subtly modify the content of an article or post, either manually or using software, so that you can then produce multiple copies of the same article that deliver the same message, but are not viewed as duplicate content by Google and other Search Engines (as they are not identical). You may hear some people argue that Article Spinning is an underhand practice, as it is used to mislead the search engines, but my opinion is slightly different as you will see later!

Disadvantages of Article Spinning

article spinningAlthough there are many benefits to Article Spinning, there are still a number of disadvantages too. The main disadvantage (and another reason why people object to it) is because if an article is not spun very well that it can make the article difficult to read. It can even prevent an article from making sense or can actually change the meaning of an article! For this reason I would always encourage people to steer clear of Article Spinning software unless they know exactly what they are doing!

The other down-side to Article Spinning is that it can be very time consuming. To spin an article well, even using software, can take anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour and to be honest, it can be quite mind numbing too!

Benefits of Article Spinning

So, onto the benefits! Let’s assume that you write good quality articles with the purpose of helping people. If this is the case then you want your articles to show up in the Search Engines don’t you? Unfortunately, there is far too much low quality content out there on the Internet and if you are able to dilute that bad content with good quality content, then that has to be a bonus, doesn’t it?!

Also, your job as an Internet Marketer is to promote your blog or website, so if you want your blog pages to get indexed by Google and to rank highly then you need backlinks! It’s as simple as that! Without spinning your articles the number of backlinks you will receive from them will be dramatically reduced, as Google will delist any articles it recognises as duplicate content, reducing the value placed on that link.

The decision really is up to you, but I know which option I would choose every single time! What I personally do is write my own articles and then outsource the spinning of those articles. I have found an agent through Freelancer who is exceptionally good at spinning content and only charges $3 for an expertly spun article! The other alternative is to purchase software and learn how to use it properly to ensure your spun articles remain easy to read and high quality!
