Listjoe Tips – Are there still profits in the list?

Listjoe is a safe-list members’ programme, where individuals who register for an account can email other random Listjoe members, as well as members of their own personal down-line, at 3-day intervals.  In this article I will be providing some Listjoe tips for building YOUR OWN opt-in mailing list using Listjoe, as well as exploring how to ensure profits can be made from YOUR LIST.

Let’s assume that you have decided to register for a free or fully paid Listjoe membership.  You will now be able to email up to 8500 random Listjoe members every 3 days, in exchange for receiving emails from fellow members.  The questions you need to be asking yourself are:

1.  Where am I going to send my Listjoe traffic to? 

2.  Am I going to send this traffic directly to a sales page, or am I going to try to filter the traffic into my own opt-in list of subscribers?

Listjoe Tips –  The best way to Unlock the Profits

Successful Internet Marketers understand the importance of building a list.  Your own personal opt-in list will contain subscribers who are interested in you (or your company) and what you have to offer them.  When people opt-in to your list you will have an opportunity to build a relationship with them, which is important in any business, especially on the Internet.

If you send prospects directly to a sales page then they may not be interested in what you are selling and could leave your website … never to return!  If you send them to an opt-in page, where you offer something of real value to them in exchange for a personal email address, then you will have an opportunity to build a relationship with those prospects that do choose to subscribe to YOUR PERSONAL LIST.  You will be able recommend a wide range of products and services in the coming weeks, months, or even years.  That is the key to building a profitable list … by developing lasting business relationships. 

Therefore, my recommendation is that you don’t send your Listjoe traffic directly to a product sales page.  I recommend you send it to a capture page, or an opt-in page, where you can collect names and email addresses for your own list, which you will retain full control of.  Keep in mind that some of the traffic from Listjoe is likely to be low quality, so you want to sort the prospects from the suspects and build a relationship with your red hot prospects!

Listjoe does allow you to build a down-line, but your down-line is still going to contain a mix of good and bad prospects.  Regardless of whether a random member or a down-line member visits your site, you need to capture the details of the people who are interested in what you can provide.  I strongly advise that you to take my Listjoe tips into consideration when getting started with Listjoe!

Listjoe Tips – Testing Ad Copy and Capture Pages with Listjoe

Internet Marketers understand the importance of testing, tweaking and tracking key elements of their sales and marketing funnels.  Tiny improvements can have a significant impact in the long-term and no sales funnel is ever perfect!  In this article I will provide some Listjoe Tips by explaining how Listjoe can be used to develop killer ads and high converting squeeze pages!

Listjoe Tips #1 - Gather Intelligence

In a previous article I explained how Listjoe can be used to connect with up to 85,000 people each month, sending offers and inviting them to your site.  I went on to show that if just 5% of those people decided to visit your site then that would account for 4250 new, unique visitors each month.  But how can these visitors be used to provide intelligence on what is working and what isn’t in your sales and marketing funnel?

Each time you send out a Listjoe message you will be inviting other members to visit your site, or check out an offer of some sort.  In the back-office of Listjoe you can track the success rate of each individual ad, as the system provides a real time record of click through rates, as well as other useful information.  The record will tell you what message you sent, when you sent the message, how many people you sent it to, how many people clicked the link in your ad and the percentage of people clicking through.  This information is priceless!  You are likely to find that some adverts attract better click-through rates than others and you can use that information to develop killer ads!

Listjoe Tips #2 - Split Test Ads

I recommend split testing 2 adverts by sending them out on the same days and same times in two consecutive weeks.  The ad that performs best will be kept for the next round of split testing and the other can be discarded.  Repeat this process with the top performing ad against a different ad which has been changed in some way.  It might be a different title and same email content, or the same title and different email content.  Change 1 parameter at a time until you see improvements in results and then change a different parameter.  Never stop testing, tweaking and tracking!  This is the key to writing killer ads and learning how to write high converting ad copy.

Next up are your landing pages!  Higher click-through rates are great, but that only gets more people onto your site.  What if they don’t like what they see and don’t buy your product or opt-in to your list? 

Listjoe Tips #3 - Split Test Capture Pages

We have just looked at split testing for your adverts and now I am going to explain how to split test capture pages too.  The process is exactly the same!  You can use the information from Listjoe to record how many visitors a mailing has attracted and from that you can then work out what percentage your capture page has converted to leads (new opt-in subscribers, divided by clicks, multiplied by 100).  It is vitally important that you record this information in a spreadsheet, as this will tell you how effective your landing page is.  Split test 2 capture pages, compare the results, keep the higher converting page and discard the other.  Make sure you change one parameter at a time and track the results.

In this article I am going to explain how Listjoe can be used to boost the Alexa ranking of your website or blog (by boosting Listjoe traffic) and why this is likely to be an important element in your Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) strategy.

list_joe_trafficIt is now commonly believed amongst Internet Marketers that search engines such as Google and Yahoo favour sites with better Alexa rankings.  The Alexa ranking of a website is calculated based on the volume of traffic visiting a website or blog and ranks all sites from the most popular (number 1) to the least popular.  The reason why Google and Yahoo might favour sites with better Alexa rankings is because their purpose as search engines is to direct their customers to resources that are of use to them.  Therefore, they only want to direct people to useful and relevant sites, as otherwise their clients may choose to use a different search engine, or provider.  The popularity of a website gives Search Engines an indication of how useful and relevant the content on a site is and hence, whether it is a good idea to send people to that website or not!  What all of this actually means for you and your website is that if you want to get higher listings in Google then you need to make sure that you are driving decent volumes of traffic from other sources too.

As I have mentioned in previous articles, Lisjoe can be used to drive large numbers of visitors to your website or blog.  Although this might not always be the highest quality traffic, some of it will still convert to leads or sales, but there is another significant benefit as far as your SEO is concerned.  Google and Yahoo are likely to notice this influx in traffic and improvement in Alexa ranking.  As a result, the search engines are more likely to deem your site as having useful and relevant content, which in turn is likely to boost your Google listings for some, if not all of your relevant keywords.  This is certainly not a guarantee, but we know that Google’s complex algorithms take many variables into consideration when indexing and listing sites.

Lisjoe Traffic for Short and Long-term Strategies
